Frequently asked questions
Straight answers before you spend a rupee
39 questions we get asked every week — from flat owners and society committees to facility heads and factory managers. If yours isn't here, call us and ask.
For Homes, Flats & Housing Societies
Common questions from families, flat owners and society committees in Mumbai, Vasai-Virar, Nallasopara, Mira-Bhayandar and Thane.
Most 1–2 BHK flats are covered by 2–4 cameras — main door, balcony/passage and any second entry. Bungalows and row houses usually need 4–8 to cover the gate, compound, parking and terrace. We confirm the exact count in a free site survey so you don't pay for cameras you don't need.
For Businesses, Offices & Corporate Clients
For company owners, admin heads, facility managers and purchase teams evaluating a security and ELV vendor.
Yes. For a new office we handle CCTV, access control, time-attendance, EPABX intercom, public address, fire alarm and structured data/voice cabling — specified together at the fit-out stage so cabling and civil work happen once, not three times.
Industry-Specific Questions
Retail, warehousing, manufacturing, healthcare, hospitality and residential projects each carry different risks — here is how we approach them.
Retail needs coverage at the entrance, billing counter, display areas and stock room, with enough resolution at the counter to settle disputes. We usually combine that with a public address system for announcements and, where shrinkage is a concern, an intrusion alarm for after-hours protection.
AMC, Service & Support
What happens after installation — maintenance contracts, breakdown support and system health.
An Annual Maintenance Contract covers scheduled servicing, testing and support for your installed systems. It matters because most CCTV failures are found only when footage is actually needed — cameras out of focus, a full or failed hard disk, or a recorder that stopped writing weeks ago. A contract catches that before you need the footage.
Pricing, Quotation & Working With Us
How a quotation is built, what a site survey covers, and how to start.
Yes. We visit the site, understand the risk areas, map camera and device positions and cable routes, and then quote. There is no obligation to proceed after the survey.
Software, Visitor Management & Society Apps
Questions about SKY-VMS visitor management and our society/gate management software.
SKY-VMS is our visitor management system for receptions and gates — visitors are registered digitally, the host is notified, and every entry and exit is logged and searchable instead of sitting in a paper register. It is already in use at Abhyudaya Co-operative Bank Limited.
